The Sweetest Day of the Week

I usually run with some pain; I'm sure we all do. You get to a race you really want to do well at and you're only 80%. But you still do OK. I have a few favorite runs that I do at least every 2 weeks. One is a 1o miler. I know when I'm at the 3 mile mark if I'm going to have a fun time or not. That's the route I started on when I strained my hamstring.
Now I'm almost afraid to run because I don't want to feel any pain and know I haven't recovered. There's almost nothing that feels as good than when you get to the point of a long run and you are completely within yourself and you feel like you could run forever. I run by myself this year most of the time so I do get to that point often.
Well tomorrow early I'm going to test the legs. I hope to go 4-6 miles. I told Linda my trainer that if she hears me say something like I'm on my third or fourth day of double digit miles to tell me to take a day OFF!!!
